SO, ON TO THE WHOLE PROCESS TO THOSE SETTING UP A CIRCLE
You with your contact have been blessed with your loved ones using their energy to make contact with you. They push through the space and vibrational distance to give you a message, perhaps guidance of events yet to come, how well they are now and so on. So thanking them is only polite and proper.
To help you I have put down the various words used in my Circle to open, close and provide words of healing prayer you might wish to use. You of course might well use your own words. These are at the end of this text.

SETTING UP AND RUNNING A CIRCLE:
COMMUNICATION
Firstly, after a Circle we plan the date of the next two Circles between us. This usually means jiggling about with various dates due to holidays and other events already committed to. We usually leave between six to eight weeks between Circles, this means that everyone is emailed after the meeting confirming the dates. This informs everyone, whether they were at the last Circle or not, of agreed forward dates. It is no chore because the email comments on the past Circle so that those who might have had to miss it know how it went. Just an outline, it is not a minute of the meeting. Anything of particular interest which came up gets a mention such as a new member or a particularly interesting contact exchange.

THE ROOM
The room is important. A number of psychics will use their powers to help 'clear' the room. In other words to cleanse it of vibrations which they don't want. The Spirit World works on vibrations and it helps if the vibrations in the room are heightened for the meeting as we mortals are of a lower vibration, and Spirit has to work at matching vibrations. Cleansing assists this. Singing or suitable calming music can help to raise our vibrations.
We usually use a Singing Bowl to clear the vibration of the room prior to the arrival of the sitters. (I also regularly 'ting' the entire property on a regular basis to keep it 'clean'). To do this, shut the doors of the rooms, ting, not forgetting cupboards and wardrobes. Shut the room after tinging, move to next one and so on. You should have cleansed the house of any presence who is hanging about.
Now, some psychics might use other spiritual methods. They have the psychic power and might use it to mentally fill the entire room with a colour they favour which creates a good vibrational situation. In addition to this they might, again mentally, imagining it, create a barrier across the door, top to bottom consisting of some material, curtaining, light chain etc and ask Spirit for the person who walks through it to be psychically cleansed and protected. They also might imagine just inside the door two small whirlpools which, when the person is entering they are stripped of any bad influence which might be with them, taking such unwanted bad influence down to Mother Earth.
There are many more beliefs and ways in which psychics use their mental power to improve the area in which they work. Many can heal from a distance (Absent healing) for example.
This might seem to you just a lot of flim flam. However, if the psychic running the Circle lights candles, sprays scented water or uses their powers to help them it is fine. It is safe and harmless and works for them. You don't have to do that. It is simply another way of creating a good vibration for them to work with.
NEVER underestimate the power of Spirit!
