GENERAL POINTS
Everyone has the ability to generate psychic power, it is part of the construct which is the human body. The potential is there. Whether we develop it and use it is entirely up to us.
Most don't know how, although there are others who have within them quite naturally the gift of abundant psychic energy. This is even to the extent that they use from a very young age the power given them, totally unaware that they are gifted. These fortunate people often eventually become aware that they are unusual in some way. They can develop whatever power is there and are able to use and develop the power, possibly becoming very powerful in Spirit terms.

FEMALES
Young females are particularly apt to have this latent power. In its way it is more accessible to them. This is possibly due to their age, being so recently in a Soul state prior to birth, also there being a slightly different psychic vibration in the female make-up. This is evident in the emotional nature of females generally being more heightened than in men. They are also, in their way, more practical in their thinking and observation of life around them. All this is good for fostering and developing the latent psychic power which lives within them.
Unfortunately, it is also the case that, without some learning and acknowledgement of how to safely use and apply the psychic power, a disproportionate number of young persons with emotional and psychic-grounded problems are young females. Men are less likely to be inquisitive in respect of 'strange or unusual' feelings and emotions and less exploitive, thus not falling prey to the darker side of Spiritually.
In no way is this 'sexist'; it is simply a matter of fact.

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
As all Mortals have been constructed with this unusual and useful ability and 'skill' within them why do we not see much evidence of it and how can we all learn to make use of it?
That is simply explainable. Thousands of years ago mortals, then, did not have the multitude of distractions, responsibilities and pressures which exist today. Their thinking, appreciation of nature and the natural world was utterly different. Much more perceptive and aware. They had to be. Cave men were not stupid, they survived. We would die in the same circumstances. They were aware of the power of nature and also of the psychic impetus, unhindered by 'modern' life. This has of course been squeezed out and minimised.
It is still there but must be nurtured and developed in this busy age. This will require from you mental calm, maybe adjusted attitudes, the right surroundings and an awareness of your inner self.
So the power is there, naturally so if you want to raise your psychic power, you need to work at it. You must adjust your thinking, probably your modern attitude in some areas and take physical and mental actions which are the seed bed required for your psychic ability to grow.

WORK AT RAISING YOUR PERSONAL VIBRATIONS
In short, you need to raise your vibration. This will make it easier for Spirit to join with you. We as mortals work on a lower vibration than the Spirit World. Adjustment is required.
At this point I must stop, because there are thousands of books which will tell you, one way or another how to meditate, find your inner self and, in general, slow down, relax and give yourself 'room' in your life, enabling you to enter a relaxed state. That is what is required.
Then Spirit can reach your mind and work with you. In the Spirit world everything works with vibration and mental power. You can do it.
Whichever way you choose to build up to this state, be patient. You are awakening an enormous power, it requires patience to build, once you achieve your goal, it will be with you forever. Access to a peace and power beyond description.
