Very good psychics can help you. You can ask questions and get guidance. But as ever, just like plumbers, solicitors and gardeners there are good and bad. Go on opinions of friends you really trust to find good psychics. A church should be able to recommend a name, not always from their own ranks.
One caveat, Spirit will not normally do things unasked. To them it is an intrusion into your life and they don’t like intruding. So, you do need to ask and, in effect, invite them into your life if it is help you want. Do make sure that you are talking to a guide you know, not some lowlife Soul who would become a nuisance.
Courtesy counts in exchanges with Spirit. It is you who is honoured by the contact and pleases and thank yous should not be overlooked.
CONTACT AND DANGER
So, the view of returned Souls is much broader based, they are probably capable of a wisdom you can trust. But don’t forget, if a mortal dies as a prankster or congenital liar they will take that trait with them. However, they will probably not be given the power to contact you. Usually the traits a person had in life goes with them, and this is especially the case with relatives who have passed. If Uncle was a joker on Earth he will also be the same in Spirit.
If you ask questions of a medium or on a board, don’t expect great detail, you might get it and you might not. Depending upon the way you form any question you might put, you can get guidance in your life. However, you will normally get the exact answer to your question. Yes or no. So be prepared to have ready a possible secondary question to clarify. On occasion you might not get an answer. That is usually when someone asks on a point that they simply don’t want to answer. Also, to Spirit the mortal thirst for money or influence to them is trivial or beyond worth mentioning. You might get an answer but the more you push with a subsidiary question, the less likely it is that you will receive a good answer.
Please do be aware that you can leave yourself and the household open for nasty spirits to ‘get in’. It is vital to open a Circle with a prayer asking for protection, and at the end, usually after one hour, you must thank the Spirit world for the contact and ask that they close the contact to keep you safe from low spirits.
It is best to learn from a church Circle how to safely conduct Circles. Many of the ‘private’ Circles are badly, if not dangerously run.
It is far from being a party game. You are contacting another, exceptionally powerful world.
Further points on time
Anyone who has sat with a psychic and had their fortune told or perhaps sat in a psychic Circle will know how difficult it is for us, as the “audience “ or as participants, to understand why it is that we do not seem able to pin down the way that time is viewed on the Spirit plane. You might have carefully crafted your question to be clear but receive an answer which seems somewhat oblique.
One way of rationalising this is to remember what has happened with time on the Earth plane. Clearly in times gone by such things as watches and clocks did not exist. Before recorded history time probably would’ve been measured by the apparent length of the day or night and the amount of light which existed at any particular moment. However, time would also have been measured by the advent of the seasons such as summer, winter, spring and autumn. No one could say ‘I will be half an hour ‘because half an hour did not exist.
Again, if you come closer to what one might call historic times then time was a rather curious thing. Up until the advent of some device to record the passing of time, things were somewhat disorganised. Obviously, time as we know it existed but it was not measured in the same way. The need for such things as timetables, clocks and watches became necessary and important. So, the obsession with time down to the last minute or second is really a relatively recent event.
THE ABSENCE OF DECAY
I think also that there is a major reason why time in the spiritual world is not required. It is quite simple; in the Spirit world the spirit DOES NOT DEGRADE AND DIE. In itself the Soul is immortal. It is on any eternal journey and therefore there is no getting off point and no ‘time’ at which that will happen.
Suddenly the need for time disappears.
This makes it difficult when asked through Spirit mediums, circles or any other way of communicating, to specify a mortal time much more difficult. I don’t think it is because it is impossible for the Spirit world to determine this, but as the Soul moves on, it becomes much more difficult to relate back to something in its journey which was simply a learning experience. We cannot really imagine infinity. After all, how insignificant our mortal ‘worries’ must seem to Spirit.
This is why very often the psychic will say something like “I see daffodils” or perhaps, “there is snow”. This then indicates a seasonal happening which we can relate to. However, do not be misled. Whilst the description will probably turn out to be correct it may not tell you which year (time) the vision or information refers to. It could be the coming spring or winter, or it might be two or three years away. Once you appreciate this, it is possible for you to have a subsidiary question ready such as “do you mean this coming year or season?”. Because things on the Earth plane are seen differently to us who are experiencing life, you will probably get the answer back as “yes” or “no”. It does seem that a series of forensic questions need to be followed to (hopefully) get you a clear answer which you can then relate to mortal time.
In some instances, you may not get an answer. This is simply because the Spirit world represented by the guide or representative spirit does not wish to reply.
SENSE OF PROPORTION
One thing worth remembering is that the views from the Spirit world of earthly happenings is not as we might think. I have asked about this and very much get the impression that from the Spirit point of view it is rather like looking down on a playground of children. Although the mortal casings they see are running about are perfectly capable of doing things as it were ‘properly’, they don’t. Much of what happens on earth is so petty, if not downright awful. This is despite the encasement in every casing is a Soul who would very much like things to be nice and peaceful, and is in possession of a conscience. The Soul will be carried willy-nilly along with the free will of the casing. The result, of course, is a technicolour chaos.
So, when the mortal asks about something in their life which might be ‘important ‘to them, to the Spirit world and its ability to look forward it is of no consequence at all. If, for example, someone on a Circle sitting might ask if they will get a particular job, they would probably get a yes or a no. On the other hand, because time does not exist for Spirit, if they are asked for more precise timing, they might give the bare answer ‘I see fields of corn’. The anticipation of the questioner is that it means the upcoming autumn. Indeed, that might well be the case. But Spirit sees it as an autumn two years away. Their view of such things is different to ours. It is because it is the spirit answering, NOT what we envisage, the known human form we saw.
Sometimes secondary questioning might reveal this apparent disconnect.
Events
However, my experience leads me to believe that ‘events’ have a greater significance in the Spirit world. That is, events which happen here on Earth or, in particular, in what you believe to be your span of life ‘time’. This is particularly the case when you are asking about something which is important to you in the relatively short time ahead or affecting your family. For example, asking “will this be before my next birthday, the birth, my move to France?”, whatever. I think that events and happenings are easier to use as time in the Spirit world rather than the mortal invention of time which we understand.
The seasons here on Earth are in fact Natural Law in action. The rising and setting of the Sun, Moon, spring preceding summer, birds flying north, salmon spawning. These resonate much more with Spirit as their world is run absolutely by a Natural Law. Therefore, you might well get answers back saying ‘I see salmon spawning’ or ‘crane flies’ which only appear at a certain time. All in accordance with Natural Law timing. But things we can also recognise ourselves in our Earthly life.
The scope of what Spirit can see ahead is huge. A person might for example be told that ‘you will meet and marry a man with curly ginger hair’, only to find that you meet and marry a man who is in the early stages of baldness. What in fact the spirit can see is that the marriage described was not the man you did marry but, after a divorce, a man does enter your life and has curly ginger hair. It is that happy marriage which is prominent for Spirit.
You need always to remember that contact with the Spirit world is with a world which is utterly different to ours. It obviously interrelates but it runs with different systems.
Bad people
If, for example, a person passes and has been very bad in their Earth life and needs to face up to that fact but refuses to do so, they might well be in the sorting-out phase, be ‘graded’ and end up in a dark, much lower vibration plane. There it might stay for hundreds of our years until it accepts it has done awful things and asks for help. THEN it will be given help to come out from that plane and move to one of the many happier planes which stretch above it.
It is hard but that is fair, simple, logical and effective.
Silver Thread
Your connection to Spirit. Here is detail of the one thing above all which maintains our mortal life. It is the Silver Thread. This is the invisible contact which comes with us through conception until the point when it snaps, or withdraws at which point you become just a pile of inert atoms we call death. Stark, but reality.
As it is inevitable, there is no point worrying about it but every reason to make sensible arrangements for the eventuality. Reading through this text is sensible, it is nice to be able have an appreciation of what you will experience.
Clearly it is an opportunity to sort out the life you are living. You now know the score and if you need to examine your attitudes to people and life then now is the chance. No cleric on earth can erase past faults for you. Impossible!
It is said that your Soul is connected to you during all its time with you by a “Silver Thread’. This will be with you from your conception until the eventual breaking of the thread, your death.
The timing of the breaking is preordained. I think there might be a clue there when you recall the number of instances, when there has been tragedy, an air crash for example, when someone reports “I should’ve caught that plane/train/boat, whatever, but something stopped me”.
It is probably much the same when, during normal life activity, you have been a hair’s breadth away from some fate or other. Just look on YouTube to see people who miss death by the quirky effect of some happening!
Think back over your life or career and you might well be able to remember ‘how lucky I was’ or some such. I know I can relate specificity to six occasions. Two involved being nearly run over by careless drivers! I don’t believe in extraordinary coincidence, but I do believe in Spiritual intervention when your Soul might be damaged.
So, the Silver Thread is how you are in contact with your Soul always, and therefore, by extension, to the Spirit world. Remember that the Soul is with you to learn lessons. There is no reason why a lesson cannot be the narrow escape itself. It might be the close shave that frightens you enough for you to change your ways or points up the foolishness of your attitudes or actions and makes you take another course.
I also understand that this thread is very strong in the early years, however, when you reach what is, for you, the peak of life, the thread begins to weaken and that this can result in more age-related attacks and illness as a result. We call it ageing. It clearly is the case that you probably cannot run as fast when you are sixty years of age as you might have done at the age of twenty-five. That is logical and illustrates how the casing the Soul occupies degenerates. I think doctors use the expression “senile decay” to describe it. It is an apt description.
