This is where it becomes a bit more in-depth. There is so much that one could say but I do not want to write a book. So, generalities it must be.
Do remember that all this text is drawn from all sorts of sources. From mediums, circle exchanges, personal psychic contacts, my and other people’s memories, general psychic knowledge, church addresses and so on.
It is something of a problem to pull it together in a coherent way. So, what follows in this module is mixed a bit.
The following modules are hopefully easier!
Earthly riches
A quick word about riches. It is perfectly possible to pass over with fabulous earthly wealth. But if you arrive in the Spirit world not having spread your good fortune around, or used it for the good of others, you will be judged accordingly. However, if as a wealthy person, you have led a good blameless life and shared your good fortune of riches with others then the plane upon which you will find yourself will be of a higher vibration than those who did not help others when they had wealth and opportunity.
So, if you have a humble but poor individual who has spent his life doing good, then that person might well go to a much higher, nicer plane than the miser.
You will also find that you are occupying a plane which is inhabited with Souls just like you in attitude and action. If you think this through then it makes sense of the words ‘and the meek shall inherit the earth’.
A BIT MORE DETAIL
Now, I am going to put in another piece which I feel gives you more depth to the business of planes and vibrations. It really is the core of what happens and explains a little more about the ‘mechanics’ of the Spirit world.
This also answers the question so often asked on Earth, ‘why does Spirit allow this?’ when a person or group behaves outside the norms of decency and is causing harm. Unknown to us, it is all balanced up. But that does not happen in this mortal life. Those Souls causing the harm, whether personal or huge and damaging to society, will need to acknowledge their faults and the lessons they discover for themselves in the Spirit world. That is the way it works. The darker and uncomfortable planes will be their new home. However, the person who has not behaved well in some way whilst on earth does not become stuck forever in the lower dark plane. It might take a very long time, but the miscreant Soul will want to move on and start to think upon their Earth life and regret their actions.
Fed up with the darkness and nastiness of their surroundings, they will ask for help. At that stage they will be helped by other Souls whose ‘job’ it is to bring them on to a proper path of learning and to be able to move forward and upward into a lighter future.
This way, no one escapes the misdemeanours committed on earth. The bad suffer, the good will be rewarded.
Everyone is graded according to their life’s work and whether it has left the world a better place for being born. No one is exempt. That is the rule, the NATURAL LAW.
GOOD THINGS, BAD THINGS
Good things happening to people really need no airing. Many are due to Spirit having a hand and making sure you are on the path which was intended for you.
However, things which are nasty or do bad do happen. That is when we on Earth start to wonder why God allows this.
Spirit thinks differently. In their view such things can be viewed as an experience from which a Soul needs to learn to strengthen the Soul’s experience.
Such a happening might well affect a number of people, parents, friends, perpetrators of evil and so on. The Soul needs to see and know how some things affect the lives of others, the singular and collective feeling and emotions. For example, the situation when a baby is born but does not survive and dies after a few days. It may be that this was due to a Soul, on its journey, needing to know and experience the act of birth. That might well seem a ludicrous reason, but logic of the Spirit world can appear illogical. If such a happening was preordained then it is sensible that some good should come from it, not in this mortal world but in the Spirit World. When fully explained this way, it is simply just one event which needs to be experienced by the Soul. Although the example seems poor, in relation to impact, it is like a young mortal who knows they should be fully kitted-out for a bike ride, does not bother and falls and hurts themselves. It is an experience which, once experienced, may never need to occur again. It seems hard to us but that is the way it is. As Spirit would say, ‘how can you know light if you don’t know darkness?’ I think that for many events which bedevil a human life there is the intent to make that person stronger by meeting the challenge. I suppose it is rather like the saying ‘being cruel to be kind’ knowing that if an action is not taken now it will rebound later with unwanted consequences.
Nature on Earth can be very cruel to our view. But it is constructed so that the strong will survive and maintain the species. Not a lot different from the animal world.
LAW AND ORDER
A bit of repetition here. I think it is entirely necessary. Discipline and control is the glue which holds any society together. The Spirit World is no different.
It is entirely logical that there need to be rules in such a dynamic and diverse construct as the Spirit world. There are, as you know, and they are called the Natural Law, a strict and precise guide for the running of a construct in which billions of Souls from the earthly contact of every race on earth AND social mores are together. Clearly you could not clump them all together. The differences of view on how to behave would quickly establish the old earthly sins of good versus evil. Not good!
So, a grading and assessment must take place, and every Soul is placed on a plane which reflects the true nature of the earth experience of the Soul. Did the Soul act in a beneficial way in their short lifetime or act in a negative way?
To help your understanding, it is like having all the same type of person, but only the same type, in a large room together. So, the good will be with the good, the bad with the bad. The sieve or grading process is such that what you have achieved, what you have contributed in life, will be the decider as to the high or low plane on which you continue your Soul journey. (Again, Marley with his chains in ‘A Christmas Carol!)
So, if during your short mortal life, you have been good and pleasant, thus contributing to an improved life around you, then both the plane upon which you will find yourself will be high, light and a good stepping-stone for your onward progress. On the other hand, if you have wasted your lifetime in causing trouble, being selfish and causing misery to your fellow mortals, then you will be placed on a plane which will reflect your thoughts and actions. Dark with awful companions, the same as you! Efficient and just.
A little bit of lightness
I thought I should include something to lighten the story. I could do loads of these in respect of happenings when I was healing. But this is an anecdote with both a healing and psychic element. It shows spirituality at work.
STORY: I had a friend whom, when he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, plus other problems, I told I would visit three times a week to help him.
Malcolm then said “It won’t work I am a septic”, so I said “you might be grumpy but you are not a septic, you are a sceptic”. I continued my visits, he quickly decided that he would forget about being sceptical and engaged with my ministrations. He was expected to last no longer than September of that year. The surgeons were amazed that he sailed through September and in to the New Year. He eventually succumbed in April. Another seven months of life! Wonderful.
Malcolm subsequently turned up on our Circle board. The first message to come through was ‘you were right, Pat’ plus messages to pass on to his family and thanks for my healing. He visited us quite often, always, as in life, stating his meaning forcefully. He did not come through for a couple of months and, when he did, I asked him what he had been up to. He messaged back ‘I have been a naughty boy’, and I asked what he had done. He replied ‘I spoke my mind and was out of line’. I told him to keep his head down as he had come up against some element of the Natural Law! His wife thought it was absolutely typical of him, and I could not disagree!
Time and other elements
This section of text is a bit of a mind-blower. I pondered on the question of time in the next world for years. It is this...... TIME DOES NOT EXIST IN THE SPIRIT WORLD.
The only way I could feel easy with this was to simply say that in the Spirit world, time IS, a bit like saying that on earth, air exists. It is there, nothing to get excited about.
However, it gradually dawned on me, as I applied some thought and logic to the problem that in prehistoric time no one had watches. Time was utterly different then, nothing was measured as it is today. Time had to be invented and duly was.
Then a light bulb moment.
If in the Spirit World NOTHING DECAYS, what is the use of time?
This is really where we could sink into the mysteries of quantum logic and science.
For the Souls, things in their world can be altered or created instantly, if you want a chair you think one up! Time and creation is simply not an issue, neither is the creation of complete scenarios or individual objects. It is completely different. It is possible for the Soul to alter its appearance, perhaps showing themselves at a much younger age, making recognition easier.
That in itself is a fascinating fact but normal in their realm.
HOW SPIRIT VIEW EARTH TIME AND THEIR SCOPE OF VIEW
It is important to remember that the Soul who has been with you throughout your entire earthly existence has carried the lessons and experiences of its stay with you when it went back to its home. It is on a journey which might involve repeated trips to earth at different times. I keep repeating that because it is easily forgotten.
We know the Soul, having in effect melded with you for YOUR mortal journey, still has contact with you in your current life through mediums and suchlike. It holds the memory, but probably not the same detail as we have and need in our day-to-day mortal life. But when in contact with us through mediums, Circles, platform mediums and so on, it can refer back or bring up some particular point from the past which has meaning for you. You can of course be seen BY Spirit at any time. You just cannot see them.
Certainly, often people in a Circle or in the congregation of a Spiritualist Church will find that some comment will be made to them about something which happened that day. For example you might hear the medium say “you found the brooch you thought you had lost this morning, I saw you hunting for it” or “ You were surprised by the feather you found on the carpet, weren’t you ?”. This is a normal event often seen in a Spiritualist Church service with a platform medium passing on messages.
So, time exists for them in memory and I believe particularly in respect of events, like births, family meetings, events which celebrate or mourn an event. My dear Mum never misses a family event whenever one takes place. She passed on over twenty years ago. It is not just you under this Spiritual spotlight and recall.
That is fairly straightforward, I could give much greater detail on happenings I witnessed but you have to rely on my word that the above text is absolutely true. To the ‘unbeliever’ test it, go to a Spiritualist church on a few occasions and find out for yourself. It is not weird or witchcraft. If you do go, please remember that there are strong and weak mediums, but sometimes the contact through to us on the mortal plane is not strong. It needs to be a good, strong contact. However, if you sit in a congregation and in the open session, you get a load of generic waffle or the medium asks from a congregation ‘does anybody know an Eric?’, you possibly have a weak medium. Don’t give up though, these brave folk need to venture onto a public platform and they have to learn as well how to develop good contact. Not always easy.
THE SCOPE OF VIEW
Now, an important point. A Soul having returned to its Spirit home sees things in a much broader picture. What is important to us in our daily life is a relatively trifling matter now to the Soul, busy getting on with its work of advancing its own Soul journey. It is simply that what they can now see and know is just so much broader based. It gives them wisdom which might not have been apparent as a mortal.
The Soul now at home in its familiar realm can see much of what is planned for you, individually and for the general population. It can see much of your upcoming life and future happenings.
You can receive some advice or perhaps a warning. (Just once have I had a clear warning, exactly in my head as if spoken, regarding an upcoming trip for my, then, young daughter. I could not stop the trip but was able to put Spirit protection around her. It was not until she came back safe some months afterwards that she told me that she had to struggle with a tide to save herself from drowning!). However, I was warned and could send out protection.
